about me

My name is Gavin Taylor,
a website designer and php developer based in Manchester, England.

I have been designing website's for many years now, starting when i was at school, through college/university and into my adult working life.
I have learnt many different web technologies along the way, starting off with basic html pages through to sites I do now using php and ajax. I have been designing website's for friends, family and several clients over the years, both personal and professional. I have also developed web based php applications, ranging from simple search tools to a full php content management system.

My sites are designed using a variety of web technologies, xhtml /css / php, all to the latest W3C standards, and using a mySQL database to store data collected by the site.
I am experienced with several web design/developemnt tools including adobe photoshop and activestate komodo edit, which i use regularly to design website's to clients specifications. Photoshop for the visual look and feel of the site and then komodo edit to code the back end of the site.
